	Control The control of systems is a very good application of electronics in the real world. There are many ways to use electronics - interfaces, standard electronic components or microcontrollers. These resources cover the use of Intellecta interfaces that use the Intellecta icon language and the considerable resources from Revolution Education with the PICAXE microcontrollers. These devices can be easily programmed to control motors, lights, switches and sensors. The BASIC language is very powerful. The education focus of these reources is expanded with other materials use the ATMEL, MICROCHIP and ARM based devices. These give students to use a variety of languages such as BASIC, C and Pascal. One innovative feature is that most of the electronics applications can be designed and manufactured by students with the Roland machines and Techsoft PCB Design and Make software.

Callum Taylor, visiting work experience student from Westminster College in Adelaide, designing some training boards for the PICAXE. He is using Techsoft PCB Design and Make software in conjunction with the engraving process on the Roland mills.

Final result - RF transceivers based around the PICAXE 18X chip. The boards were manufactured on the Roland MDX-20 with the engraving process. The single sided boards were engraved, drilled and routed from the PCB material in a single set up. The software controls the engraving, drilling and routing process.
