Buggy Model

This system has the following components:

 

2 Motors - these can be driven forward and in reverse with speed control

2 Lights - these are large LEDS that can be used to show direction, conditions of the system or any visible indicator defined by the user.

Light sensor - this provides a voltage proportional to the light intensity and can be used to start up a sequence, control motor speed.

2 Switches - these are two lever switches mounted at the front of the model. These will be pressed when the buggy hits an object.

This section details the Intellecta control strategies for the buggy.

Buggy Tasks

Task 1: Flash the lights

Task 2: Control the lights with the switches

Task 3: Read the light sensor and turn on the lights when the sensor value if above or below a set point.

Task 4:  Show the light sensor value on a graph

Task 5 : Run the motors.

Task 6: Use worksheets and run the motors forward and reverse for 2 seconds

Task 7: Use worksheets and set the buggy to repeat the motion forever.

Task 8: Read the state of the switches to control the direction of the buggy

Task 9: Set the buggy to ramp up in speed and then slow down
